FEILDING.

November 12. Ornamental Tea. An ornamental tea was given on Friday, November 12th, to Miss Vera Sandilands by Mrs. Luxmoore. The idea is that each guest is to bring an ornament as a wedding present. The drawingroom was beautifully decorated with quantities of roses, and the hall with scarlet geraniums. A delicious tea was provided. Mrs. Luxmoore received her guests in a blaek silk frock with cream lace on bodice; Miss Luxmoore, white muslin; Miss Sandilands, white muslin; Mrs. Sandilands, fawn coat and s’-iyt. hat with heliotrope and green scarf; Miss Eileen Sandilands, blue and white linen dress, white hat, trimmed with blue; Mrs. Clayton, dark blue tailor-made gown with blaek bra-', floral toque; Mrs. Gillespie, dais blue dress, floral hat; Mrs. Aylmer, white dress, black hat covered with white daisies; Mrs. Walker, cream dress, black hat; Miss Pratt, green silk muslin, heliotrope hat; Mrs. Sydney Fitzherbert, heliotrope linen coat and skirt, green hat; Mrs. Montgomerie, dark grey coat and skirt, white hat; Mrs. Hill, green costume, hat to match; Mrs. Sydney Johnson, green tailor-made costume, white hat with heliotrope sweet peas; Miss Kirton, fawn coat and skirt, hat with pink sweet peas; Mrs. Atkinson, dark blue eoat and skirt, blaek hat with feathers; Mrs. Cotterill, brown ccstnme with toque to match; Mrs. Woollinns, brown tailori. de coat and skirt, burnt straw hat with pink roses; Mrs. Macquire, grey dress, heliotrope hat; Mrs. Carr, peacock blue costume, white hat, trimmed with blue; Mrs. Willis, green coat and skirt, hat with heliotrope roses; Mrs. Jacob (Kiwitea), green tailor-made tweed, green hat; Mrs. Meyriek. brown tailormade costume, brown hat with pink roses; Mrs. Wheeler (Stanway), brown

dress, hat with heliotrope; Mrs. Long, grey coat and skirt, black hat; Mrs. Mackay, black and white costume; Miss Long, white linen, white hat with pink flowers; Mrs. Ed. Goodbehere, black and white dress, blaek hat.

Personal, Mrs. McAlluin is in Wellington, where she is the guest of Mrs. De Castro, Talavera Terrace. Mrs. Halliday is spending a few days in Wellington. Mrs. Porter has gone to Wellington

for a week.
