August 13. Bridge. This week the fortnightly meeting of the Ladies’ Bridge Club was held at Mrs. Leslie Webster’s, and the prizes were won by Misses Fitzherbert and E. Bayley, Mrs. A. Jones receiving the “booby.” Mrs. Webster received her guests in a golden brown chiffon taffetas, cream net blouse, pale blue silk ceinture; Mrs Percy Webster, black chiffon taffetas skirt, eream silk and lace blouse; Mrs. Heard, black taffetas, with cream silk blouse; Mrs. A. Jones, reseda green silk, with cream and pink floral guimpe; Miss Bedford, white embroidered muslin; Mrs Fitzherbert, black silk; Miss Fitzherbert, blaek silk, Teal lace berthe; Miss A. Hempton, navy blue silk relieved with white; Mrs. W. Newman, blaek silk; Mrs. Kimbell, brown chiffon taffetas; Mrs. C. Another of MiSs Bedford’s dances eventuated last Wednesday in the Brougham-street Hall, and it being a fine night, there was a good attendance. The table was prettily decorated with pale pink camellias and peach blossom. Kirkby. cream silk, blue floral ribbon sash; Miss Ray, pale blue messaline, with silver sequined berthe. Bridge Party. Miss Flossie Evans gave a small but very enjoyable bridge party at the Vicarage last Thursday evening. The prizes were won by Miss Bradbury, Mrs. W. Saxon, and Miss Saxon. Supper was served in the dining-room, the table decorations being pale yellow nasturtiums. Among those present were: Misses Leatham, King, Saxon, Bedford, Bradbury, Douglas, and Messrs, Saxon, Mathews, Johnson, Eastes, Prichard and Dr. Blackley. NANCY DEE.
