Miss Williams (Frimley) a smart navy blue serge, -with bands of black silk, brown hat with brown and cream flowers, brown fox furs; Mrs Haise, smart black coat and skirt, black hat with trimmings of black silk; Mrs Murray, light fawn French coat and skirt, braided in black, large black hat; Mrs Wallace, military blue coat and skirt, blaek hat, white fox furs; Mrs Beilby, plum cloth coat and skirt, prettily braided in blaek, black hat with black quills; Mrs Miller, very pretty eream cloth costume, braided with cream silk soutache, cream lace vest, large black plumed hat; Mrs Luckie, green and black striped tailor-made, black hat with plumes, blaek fox furs; Mrs Stronach, grey tailor-made, fur toque trimmed with violets; Mrs Douglas, navy costume, saxe blue hat swathed with silk. Personal. Miss Clarke (Eskdale) is visiting Hastings. Captain and Miss Russell (Flaxmere) left Hastings on Monday to join the Manapouri, which leaves for England this week. Sir Francis and Lady Price are contemplating a trip to England in a month’s time. Mr and Mrs Raymond are leaving shortly for the Continent. Mrs J. Faulkner and Mrs McLean (Havelock) have returned from Napier. Mr and Mrs Broomfield (Oxford) were in Hastings for a few days this week. Mr and Mrs Caple (Thames) are visiting Hastings. Mr Londin (Kaiapoi) is visiting relatives in Hawke’s Bay.
