The team sails on September 20, and will play a month in South Africa. They arrive in Australia on December 3, and are anxious to know if matches can be played in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane on their return. THUMPER’S RECORD. By scoring 69 in the second innings of the Kent match Trumper has passed Darling’s aggregate of 1941, which until now has been the highest number of runs scored in one season by an Australian on tour in England. Trumper’s aggregate is now 1998, only two off the coveted two thousand runs. There are still four matches to be played. LONDON, August 22.
