The Auckland La Crosse Association will send two picked teams to Cambridge to oppose the Waikato players. The contest takes phtee on September 2. A cablegram from London announces that the borthers Doherty have won the American championship doubles in lawn tennis.
English sportsmen are organising a testimonial to the Australian sculler, George Towns, upon the occasion of his marriage and his projected return to Australia.
