The Plunket Society
On September Ist and 3rd. the Matrons of Karitane Hospitals met in Wellington for a round table discussion of matters affecting the administration of Karitane Hospitals and Training Centres, the teaching of Karitane nurses, and other matters. Miss Hitchcock, from Dunedin, was present, also Mrs. Gillespie, from Christchurch. Miss V. McLean from Auckland and Miss Rose from Wanganui. Miss Clark from the Truby King Karitant Hospital was, of course, also present. During their stay in Wellington, the Matrons visited the home of Sir Truby
King and Miss King, at Melrose, and were taken for a long and beautiful motor drive round the hills and bays by Miss King. A Tutor Sistership has now been established in connection with with the staff of the Plunket Training Centre at Kari-tane-Harris Hospital, Dunedin. Miss Hitchcock, who has had varied experience in the different branches of the Society's work, has been appointed to this important position. Miss Hilditch has accepted the position of Matron of the Karitane-Harris Hospital and Training Centre.
