Eeturn of Appointments, &c., since the Publication of the Last Gazette. APPOINTMENT.

October 14, 1872. —Walter Henry Haddrell, to be Third-class Constable. resignation.

October 12, 1872.—Second-class Constable Eichard Brown Harris.

Eeverting to Criminal Offences, dated Christchurch, October 7, 1872, part of the bagatelle balls therein described have been found in a shrubbery in Manchester Street by a boy named Bennetts. It is now surmised they were taken out of spite and thrown away. Eeverting to Criminal Offences, dated Timaru, October 10, 1872, offender Joseph Eoberts has been arrested by SergeantMajor Barsham, Lyttelton District, and stands committed for trial.

Eeverting to inquiry for “Missing Friend” —Eobert Manisty—( Police Gazette , No. 10, 1872, page 41), it has been ascertained that he is in the neighbourhood of Charleston.

Eeverting to inquiry for Police horse No. 28, in Police Gazette No. 10. 1872, page 40, he has been found in the paddock of Mr! Sambrook, Ohoko district.

Eeverting to Criminal Offences, dated Christchurch, October 3, 1872, offender Thomas Edwards, alias Warner, has been arrested by Detective Feast, and the whole oi the stolen property is now recovered.

Eeverting to form of inquiry for “ Missing .end Henri Ludwig—he is identical with offender Bernhard August Ludwig Schreiber, mentioned in this Gazette.
