Sorgenfray, miner, aged 26 years, who was killed by a fall of earth while working in a drive. Verdict accordingly.
An Inquest was held at Kaiapoi on the 31st ult. before C. Dudley, Esq., Coroner, on the body of Herman Heirmann, farmer, aged 25 years, who died from the effects of a gunshot wound in the head. Verdict —Deceased shot himseft with a gun during a fit of temporary insanity.
An Inquest was held at Hokitika on the 26th ult. before S. Beswick, Esq., Coroner, on the body of Eobert Bussell, groom, aged 49 years, who was killed by a kick from a horse. Verdict —Accidental death, caused by a kick from a horse on the abdomen, rupturing the intestines.
An Inquest was held at Christchurch on the 28th ult before J. W. S. Coward, Esq., Coroner, on the body of Thomas Boyle, drill-instructor, aged 35 years, who was found dead in a drain. Verdict—Accidentally drowned.
An Inquest was held at Kanieri on the 9th ult. before 8. Beswick, Esq., Coroner, on the body of Eobert Plunkitt, miner, aged 27 years, who died suddenly of disease of the heart. Verdict accordingly.
An Inquest was held at Stafford Town on the sth ult. before S. Beswick, Esq., Coroner, on the body of Alexander Eiddle, miner, aged 40 years, who was killed by a tree falling upon him. Verdict accordingly.
