RECEIPTS AND EXPENDITURE The statements show in summarized form the receipts and expenditure for the year ended 31st March, 1950. Details may be found in parliamentary paper B-l [Pt. I]. The reduction in expenditure from Deposits Accounts compared with the previous year results from the abolition of the Education Endowment Deposits Account under the. provisions of section 27 (2) of the Land Act, 1948. Expenditure, under votes "Crown Lands" and " Settlement of Ex-servicemen" as from Ist April, 1949, covered substantially the same types of expenditure as votes " Land for Settlements " and " Small Farms Development."
