The total figures for the year ended 31st March, 1946, disclose a favourable balance of receipts over payments of £(N.Z.)S-726 millions. A notable feature in this table compared with the previous year is an increase of £(N.Z.)23-234 millions in the amount received in respect of the Dominion's exports (from £(N.Z.)BS-287 millions to £(N.Z.)IOB-521 millions). A further feature is the rise in payments under the heading " Government Debt and other services, including payments in respect of Government Imports" from £(N.Z.)4B-063 millions to £(N.Z.)B7-344 millions, an increase of £(N.Z.)39-281 millions.
