[d) Provision for the disbursement of grant made by the New Zealand Crippled Children's Society towards the cost of establishing travelling orthopaedic clinics at public hospitals. The society has allocated £1,000 towards the cost of the clinics, and the £250 on these estimates represents the first payment by the society. (e) Provision for the purchase of (under the purchase and resale scheme) and maintenance of additional motor-cars consequent upon the appointment of a District Medical Practitioner (expenses recoverable from Social Security Fund) and additional district nurses. £7,000 and £12,500 for purchase and maintenance of cars respectively provided for on Main Estimates. (/) Provision for the equipment of additional office space necessitated by the introduction of pharmaceutical and other benefits under Part III of the Social Security Act. £2,500 on Main Estimates. (g) Provision for payment of transport expenses of medical officers proceeding from overseas to take up positions in the Department. (h) Provision required for the purchase of additional packing-materials required in the Department's Sera and Dental Store. £50 on Main Estimates.
