[d) Provision for the disbursement of grant made by the New Zealand Crippled Children's Society towards the cost of establishing travelling orthopaedic clinics at public hospitals. The society has allocated £1,000 towards the cost of the clinics, and the £250 on these estimates represents the first payment by the society. (e) Provision for the purchase of (under the purchase and resale scheme) and maintenance of additional motor-cars consequent upon the appointment of a District Medical Practitioner (expenses recoverable from Social Security Fund) and additional district nurses. £7,000 and £12,500 for purchase and maintenance of cars respectively provided for on Main Estimates. (/) Provision for the equipment of additional office space necessitated by the introduction of pharmaceutical and other benefits under Part III of the Social Security Act. £2,500 on Main Estimates. (g) Provision for payment of transport expenses of medical officers proceeding from overseas to take up positions in the Department.
