Prevention of Unemployment in Agriculture Members of the International Labour Organization to consider certain measures for the prevention of or providing against unemployment amongst agricultural workers. Members to take measures to ensure to women agricultural wage-earners protection similar to that provided by the Washington Maternity Convention. Members to take steps to regulate the employment of women wage-earners in agriculture during the night in such a way as to ensure to them a period of rest compatible with their physical necessities, and consisting of not less than nine: hours, which shall, when possible, be consecutive. Members to take steps to regulate the employment in agriculture during the night of children and young persons in such a way as to ensure to them a period of rest compatible with their' physical necessities, consisting of not less than ten consecutive hours in tin; case, of children under fourteen and not less than nine consecutive hours for young persons between fourteen and eighteen years of age. Members to endeavour to develop vocational agricultural education, and in particular to make such education available to agricultural wage-earners on the same conditions as to other persons engaged in agriculture. Members to take statutory or other measures to regulate the living-in conditions of agricultural workers. Members to extend their laws and regulations establishing systems of insurance against sickness, invalidity, old age, " and other similar social risks," to agricultural wageearners on conditions equivalent to those, prevailing in the case of workers in industrial and commercial occupations.
