I have the honour to inform you, in reference to your despatch, No. 166, A.-2,1918 dated the 252nd October, 1917, that instructions have been issued so that the No - 25 - -masters of all British ships, whether on Government service or not, may be advised in regard to the procedure to be followed in making marine protests. i 2. The officers in this Dominion before whom protests should be made are the Superintendents of Mercantile Marine at the ports of Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and at other ports before the Collectors of Customs. 1 have, &c, LIVERPOOL, The Right Hon.
