PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONER (REGULATIONS MADE BY THE) UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT, 1912.

ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS MADE BY THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONER FOR DRAUGHTSMEN'S EXAMINATION.

Ix pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by the Public Service Act, 1912 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), the Commissioner, with the approval of the Governor in Council doth hereby make the additional regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto with respect to the examination of draughtsmen for a certificate of competency. Such additional regulations shall have effect from and after the date of publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

S( HEDULE. Draughtsmen's Examination, Lands and Survey Department. 1. An examination for a certificate of competency as a draughtsman shall be held at such times and places as may from time to time be appointed by the Commissioner. 2. The Examiner or Examiners shall be such officer or officers of the Lands and Survey Department as the Commissioner shall from time to time determine. 8. Each candidate for examination must comply with the following conditions : (a.) He must be an officer of the Public Service ; and (l>.) Have been engaged for not less than four years on draughting and computation work ; or not less than ten years on draughting-work. 1. Tlic following shall be the requirements and scope of the examination and the maximum marks assigned to the several subjects : — (A.) At the examination each candidate shall produce — (1.) A trij,'. map drawn by himself, according to regulations, on a scale of 40 chains to the inch, and covering not less than twenty-five square miles of country.
