One hundred and seven beneficiaries have, however, died since the inauguration of the Fund, including eleven during the year under review, and seven members who had been placed on the Fund as " medically unfit " resumed duty. The Fund was relieved of an annual liability of £6,931 Os. 7d. in respect to these one hundred and fourteen members. Seventy-seven children have reached the age of fourteen years (sixteen during the past year), four children have died (one during the past year), fourteen widows remarried (four during the past year), and five widows died, lessening the liability of the Fund by an additional £1,398 Os. 9d. per annum. Nine hundred and eighty-six persons were actually on the Fund at the 31st March, 1910, involving an annual liability of £48,468 Bs. lid. J. A.
