Section No. 1, Block XII, Ngaire Survey District. Area, 530 acres. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands. New Plymouth. Work done during year: Fences erected and repaired. Improvements now on domain: Boundaryfences. The area is practically all in native bush, and contains the Rotokare Lake. Occasionally used for picnics. Rotokare Domain (Paritutu). Part of Native Reserve No. 2 (Arapepe), Block VIII, Paritutu Survey District, 48 acres. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, New Plymouth. Work done during year: Noxious weeds eradicated. Improvements now on domain: Boundary-fences and fences around native bush. Leased for grazing on improvement conditions; also used as a picnic resort. St. Helen's Domain. Suburban Section No. 1, Aria Village, Block X, Totoro Survey District. Area, 38 acres 2 roods. Work done during year: Ten and a half chains wire fencing erected. Improvements now on domain : Fence. Work done during year : Water-supply laid on to Section 470 and water-trough provided, ornamental trees planted in King Edward Park, lawn-grass sown, new seats erected, hockeygrounds reploughed, levelled, and sown down in grass, swing bridge tarred and wire-netting placed on either side, new path formed, gates altered to admit perambulators, hedges trimmed, and fences repaired. Improvements now on domain : Four and three-quarter miles fences, 12 acres plantations, grandstand, running and cycling track, football and hockey grounds, suspension bridge over the Patea River, seats, and paths.
