Maori Land Claims Adjustment and Laws Further Amendment Bill. I am directed to report that the Native Affairs Committee, to whom was referred the abovementioned Bill, has duly considered the same, and is of opinion that it should be allowed to proceed, subject to the amendments as shown on a copy of the Bill attached hereto. . . 21st November, 1907.

No. 768 (1907).—Petition of Te Karukoura and Others. Petitioners pray for inquiry into their claims with regard to the Patutahi Block.

No. 797 (1907). —Petition of Manu Tawhiorangi and Others. Petitioners pray that means be sought whereby may be included the actual hapu who are owners of the Tangihanga portion of the Patutahi Block.

I am directed to report that these petitions be referred to the Government for inquiry. 22nd November, 1907.

No. 878 (1907).—Petition of Walter George Foster. Petitioner prays that legislation be passed in accordance with arrangements made between the various lawyers in connection with the Wi Pere Trust Estate, Hawke's Bay.

No. 828 (1907).—Petition of Hone Paerata and Others. Petitioners pray for a rectification of the numbers and lists of names of Kopuatarakihi Nos. 2b and 2c, and also the main block.

No. 841 (1907). —Petition of Anaru Pera and Others. Petitioners pray for restoration to them of the Tangoio South Block, which was transferred to the Maori Land Board.

I am directed to report that these petitions be referred to the Government for consideration 22nd November, 1907.
