Nblson. This district is bounded towards the north and north-west generally by Tasman Bay from the western extremity of Rabbit Island to the French Pass; thenco by the French Pass, Hamilton Bay, Admiralty Bay to Clay Point; thence towards the north-east by Cook Strait to West Entry Point; thence by a light line to East Entry Point ; thence by Forsyth Bay to Allen Strait; thence by Allen Strait to Anakoha Bay; thence by Anakoha Bay to the creek intersecting Section No. 50, Block VIII, Gore Survey District; thence by a right line to the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 53 of the said Block VIII; thence by the eastern boundaryline of the said Section No. 53 to its south-eastern corner ; thence by a right line to Mount Stokes ; thence by a right line from Mount Stokes to tile western corner of Section No. 49, Block VII, Gore Survey District ; thence by the western boundary-line of Section No. 49, and the southwestern boundary-line of Section No. 71, Block VII, to the north-western boundary of Section No. 9, Block VI, Gore Survey- District; thence by the north-western and southwestern boundary-lines of the last-mentioned section to Section No. 10a of the said Block VI, and by the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned section to the main range forming the watershed between Kenepuru and Queen Charlotte Sounds; thence towards the south generally by the last-mentioned range to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 2, Block VI, Linkwater Survey District; thence by the eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section to the southern boundary-line of Section No. 64 of the said Block VI; thence by the north-eastern boundary-line of the last-men-tioned section, and that line produced to the middle of the Mahau Sound ; thence by a line running along the middle of Mahau Sound to Black Point; thence by the northern shore of Kaimua Bay and Pelorus Sound to the easternmost corner of Section No. 10, Block VII, Wakamarina Survey District, and by the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section, and the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 12 and 13 of the said Block VII, and the north-western boundary of Section No. 14, Block XI, Wakamarina Survey District; thence by the western and southern boundaries of the lastmentioned section to a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 6, Block XI, Wakamarina Survey District; thence by a right line to and by the southwestern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section, and the south-western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 87 and 8, Block XI, Wakamarina Survey District; thence by the southern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section, and the southern boundary-line of Section No. 5, Block XII, Wakamarina Survey District, to Takorika Trig. Station; thence towards the east by the summit of the range between the Rivers Wakamarina and Kaituna over Trig. Stations A and V to Mount Riley ; thence again towards the south-east

by the summit of the main range between the Wakamarina River and the Wairau River, over Mount Sunday and Mount Baldy to the summit of the maiji range between the Pelorus and Wairau Valleys ; thence by the summit of that range, over fishtail and Mount Richmond and Old Man, to the ! boundary-line between the Land Districts of Nelson and MarlI borough ; thence again towards the south-west and northwest by the boundary-line between the Land Districts of Nelson and Marlborough to the southern boundaryline of Square 18; thence again towards the south by a line running due west until it is intersected by a right line bearing S. 45° W. from a point about two miles distant from the north - eastern corner of Section No. 18, Suburban North, and in line with the north - eastern boundaryline of the said Section No. 18 ; thence again towards the south-east by a right line bearing S. 45° W., until it intersects the River Lee ; thence towards the south-west generally by the said River Lee to its confluence with the River Roding ; thence by the latter river to its confluence with the River Wairoa, and thence by the last-mentioned river to the Waimea River ; thence towards the west by the said Waimea River and a lint; produced from its mouth to the western extremity of Rabbit Island, the place of commencement, including D'Urville Island, Stephen's Island, Rabbit Island, Saxton's Island, Oyster Island, Pepin Island, and Pifeshire Island. This district is bounded towards the north-west and north by the sea from Mokihinui River to the Capo Farewell Lighthouse ; thence towards the east generally by Golden Bay and Tasman Bay to the Nelson Electoral District, hereinbefore described ; thence towards the east and north generally by the said Nelson Electoral District to the summit of the watershed between the Wairau and Pelorus Valleys; thence towards the south-east generally by the boundaryline between the Land Districts of Nelson and Marlborough to-a point near the head-waters of Motupiko River; thence towards the south generally by the summit of the watershed of the Rivers Motupiko and Buller, and by the summit of the watershed of the Buller River aforesaid, and the Hope River to the confluence of two last-named rivers; thence by a right line to Mount Owen ; thence by the summit of the Lyell Range to Bald Hill, Block X, Lyell Survey District, on the said Lyell Range ; thence by the summit of the watershed leading up to the head-waters of Lyell Creek and Slaty Creek, and by the summit of the leading spur to the source of the said Slaty Creek ; thence by a right line due west to the nearest source of the Ngakawhau River ; and thence by the said Ngakawhau River to the south-eastern boundary-line of the Buller Coalfields Reserve; thenco by the said south-eastern boundary of the said Buller Coalfields Reserve to the south-western boundary-line of Sec-
