The Chaikman of the Board op Govebnobs to the Ministeb of Education. Sib, — Auckland University College, 10th May, 1907. In pursuance of section 25 of "The Auckland University College Act, 1882," the Council has the honour to make the following report for the year 1906:— 1. Number of Students. —The number of persons who attended lectures in this College in 1906 was 315: Graduates, 12 (males, 6; females, 6) ; undergraduates, 177 (males, 106 ; females, 71); and non-matriculated students, 126 (males, 69; females, 57). 2 Council. —Eev. J. H. Simmonds was reappointed by the Governor in Council; Hon. J, A. Tole was re-elected by the members of the General Assembly resident in the Provincial District of Auckland ; Mr. T. U. Wells was re-elected by the graduates of the University of New Zealand on the roll of the Auckland University College. The Education Board notified the Council that owing to the death of Mr. Samuel Luke, Mr. Bagnall had been appointed Chairman; Mr. Bagnall became, therefore, ex officio as Chairman of the Education Board, an ex officio member of the Council. 3. Senate. —The Hon. J. A. Tole, 8.A., LL.B., was re-elected a member of the Senate of the University of New Zealand by the College Council.
