The greatest difficulty the Board has to contend with is the keeping-open of the mouth of the lagoon; the occasional heavy seas bank up the sand and wash into the domain, sometimes flooding the same and destroying the grass. Helensville Domain, Auckland Land District. Section No. 10, Block XIV., Kaipara Survey District. Area, 38 acres 2 roods 21 perches. During the year a caretaker was appointed at a salary of 10s. per week and 50 per cent, of the balance of the takings. The domain contains hot springs, but little has been done towards improving or developing them.
