This portion of Clinton Domain is administered by the Clinton Town Board as a Domain Board. Improvements now on domain: Fences, drains, plantation, and building which is used as a grandstand. Twelve acres is used for pasture, the remainder for sports, picnics, cricket, and football. Clinton Domain (part of), Otago Land District. Section No. 82, Block XL, Pomahaka Survey District. Area, 132 acres. This portion of Clinton Domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin, and is leased for grazing purposes. Clyde Domain, Hawke's Bat Land District. Suburban Sections Nos. 4, 5, 10, and 11, Town of Clyde. Area, 8 acres. Work done during year: Erection of fences round plantation, and clearing rushes. Improvements now on domain: Fences, plantations, and band rotunda. Used for sports and football matches. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Further clearing of rushes, trimming hedges, and repairing and painting band rotunda. Clyde Domain, Otago Land District. Sections Nos. 38, 39, and 48, Block XL, and Blocks IV., V., VI., VII., LVL, and LVIL, Town ff Clyde. Area, 63 acres 3 roods 21.5 perches. Improvements on domain : Fences. Used for general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Tree-planting. Coalgatb Domain, Canterbury Land District. Reserve No. 2409, Hororata Survey District. Area, 20 acres 1 rood. Twenty-five acres leased. Improvements now on domain: Good fences and 3 acres of plantation. Portion used for grazing; remainder for tennis and football. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Hedge-trimming, and gorse-grubbing. Conway Domain, Canterbury Land District. Section No. 46., Block XII., Hawkswood Survey District. Area, 10 acres. Leased for grazing purposes. Not used by the public. Courtenay Domain, Canterbury Land District. Reserve No. 2413, Block VIIL, Hawkins Survey District. Area, 20 acres. No new works undertaken. Improvements now on domain : Sixty-eight chains hedges and 12 chains post-and-wire fences. Used for picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing .year: Erection of new gate and stile, grass-seed sowing, tree-planting, and other improvements the nature of which has not yet been decided. Cromwell Domain, Otago Land District. Section No. 1, Block XV., Town of Cromwell and the Cromwell Town Belt. Area, 231 acres. The greater portion of this area has for some years been covered with drift sand; large sums of money have been expended in tree-planting and erecting sand-barriers. This work was continued during the past year. Improvements now on domain : Two acres plantation, a mile and a half of sand-barriers, composed of wire and brush fences with live poplar posts and other trees : also half a mile of other fences. Used for cricket, football, and volunteer manoeuvres. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Tree-planting, and erection of more sand-barriers. Croydon Bush Domain, Southland Land District. Section No. 819, Hokonui Survey District. Area, 319 acres 2 roods. Used chiefly for picnics. Most of the area is in native bush. Cust Domain, Canterbury Land District. Reserves Nos. 2422 and 2423, Mairaki Survey District. Area, 17 acres 3 roods 33 perches. No works undertaken during year. Improvements now on domain : Surrounded by gorse hedge and a plantation (1 chain wide) of well : grown trees, cricket-pitch, pavilion, seating-accom-modation, and well. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Gorse-grubbing. Used for horseraces, cricket, football, picnics, and sports. Dannevirke Domain, Wellington Land District. Suburban Section No. 12, Town of Dannevirke. Area, 40 acres. During the year the grandstand was improved, and repairs effected to cyele-track, fences, and plantation. Improvements now on domain: Fences, plantations, pavilion, cycle-track, and dressing-room. Used for sports, cycle-races, football, and cricket. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Erection of urinals and conveniences.
