Master's certificate suspended for three months, and he was ordered to pay costs of inquiry ; but, after considering circumstances and evidence taken at inquiry, His Excellency the Governor reduced period of suspension from three months to one month Lower-hold port-hole left open, and, being unnoticed, water flowed into and filled aftercompartment, necessitating beaching of vessel Master guilty of errors of judgment in not laying course sufficiently to the south, and in not calling all hands and devoting his attention to the steering.
