Part ll.—Costs of Sukveys, &c. The cost of the original surveys of the five Ohotu blocks was £1,942 18s., for which a lien on the land is held by the Surveyor-General. These surveys were executed before the transfer of the land to the Council. The amount expended on surveys since the transfer of the land to the Council is £122 Bs. 10d. No other expenditure has been incurred under the head of surveys. There has been no expenditure beyond the foregoing amounts, which will spread over an area of some 93,000 acres. With the exception of a sum of £253 15s. 6d., collected as fees under the A.ct, no revenues have as yet accrued.
