Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 31st July, 1901. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The amount paid to each newspaper in the colony for Government advertisements during the year ended the 31st Maroh, 1901; (2) the amount similarly paid for Government printing, stating to whom paid; (3) the amounts expended for advertising New Zealand scenery (a) in the colony, and (6) outside fchn colony, stating to whom the same have been paid."—(Mr. Massey.)
