THE NATIVE LAND COURT: RETURN OF APPLICATIONS FOR HEARINGS, REHEARINGS, SUCCESSION AND SUBDIVISION ORDERS, ETC.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 22nd July, 1892. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) the number of applications for original hearings, the number of applications for rehearings, the number of applications for succession orders, the number of applications for subdivisions, and the number of rehearings ordered by the Chief Judge respectively in connection with the Native Land Court throughout the colony, showing each district separately, that awaited investigation on the 21st day of January, 1891; (2) the number of applications under each of the above headings that have since been received ; (3) the number under each heading that have been finally disposed of ; and (4) the number of cases under -each of the above headings now awaiting investigation."—(Mr. Buckland.)
