MIDDLE ISLAND HALF-CASTE GRANTS (RETURN OF).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 23rd July, 1890. Ordered, " That there be laid upon the table a return showing the position of affairs under " The Middle Island Half-caste Grants Act, 1883," Schedule B, and "The Middle Island Half-caste Grants Act, 1888," Schedule C, showing respectively, as regards each of the said schedules, (1) the names of grantees who have actually taken up their grants; (2) the names of grantees for whose allotments the Crown grants are ready for issue, but who have not yet taken them up ; (3) the names of grantees (if any) whose allotments have not been surveyed, or in respect of whose allotments the Crown grants have not been prepared, stating the reason for the delay.—(Major Stewabd.)

Morgan Wixon (should be Andrew Wixon): Delayed for production of evidence that Andrew Wixon was the person entitled to the grant; the section will now be scheduled for issue of certificate of title.
