The ordinary expenditure for labour in keeping the gardens in order, including the salary of the custodian, has averaged about £15 a month. Bd. from the previous year. The six months' share ending the 31st March, 1888, is still due. From the Honorary Treasurer's statement of accounts appended, it will be seen that there is a balance to the credit of the Board of £79 os. lOd. W. B. D. Mantell, Acting Director. Approved by the Board. G. M. Waterhouse, Chairman. 23rd July, 1888.
