Return to an Order of the Souse of Representatives, dated 19th September, 1884, Ordered, " That a return be laid before this House showing all tenders received for the supply of railway sleepers during the past two years, giving names of persons tendering, the price at which they tendered, the kinds of timber tendered for, and the names of persons whose tenders were accepted, and the price mentioned in such tender, and whether such accepted tenders were made publicly or privately."— (Mr. W.
