POISONED ORANGES
AUCKLAND, Saturday The police are satisfied that there is no foundation in the story contained in a statement issued by them on Tuesday that there may be poisoned oranges, believed to have been among a quantity stolen from Kerikeri, for sale in Auckland. After extensive inquiries by the Whangarei police it was found that no oranges at Kerikeri were injected with nicotine sulphate, as was reported, and a statement to that effect was issued by the Auckland' police.
