AWARD OF D.F.C.
TAUMARUNUI AIRMAN Advice has been received that the Distinguished Flying Cross has been awarded to Pilot-Officer K. E. Forsyth, husband of Mrs P. J. Forsyth, of Taumarunui. Pilot-Officer Forsyth has served in both the Air Force and the Army. He left New Zealand in 1940 with a forestry unit and served in England for two years. He then volunteered for the Air Force and went on operations over enemy territory after training in Britain.
