DAWSON Reported killed in action, Trooper Cecil Melbourne Dawson was the son cf Mr and Mrs J. Dawson, of Palmerston Street. Hamilton. He was 27 years old and was educated at Paeroa and Waipawa. DRIVER L. L. CUBITT Driver L. L. Cubitt, who has been reported killed on active service, was the third son of the late Mrs M. M. Cubitt, of Lome Street Morrinsville. Enlisting in the early stages of the war, he left New Zealand over three years ago for the Middle East. Ilis wife, Mrs H. Cubitt, resides in Auckland. PRIVATE H. H. HUNWICK

Word has been received by Mr and Mrs W. Hunwick, of 1 Wha Street. Frankton Junction, that their youngest son, Hubert Haslev (Cappy) Hunwick, has been killed in action in Italy. Private Hunwick was born at Palmerston North and was 30 years of age. Educated at the Frankto"n School and the Hamilton Technical High School, he was a very keen footballer and cricketer. Before leaving for overseas Private Hunwick was employed by the Waikato Associated Builders on defence work. He is survived by his wife and a daughter. A memorial service will be held in the Maeroa Methodist Church on Sunday evening.
