DESTRUCTION IN SOFIA
PEOPLE FLEE FROM CITY (Received Jan. 14, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 13 The Allied air raid on Sofia on Tuesday was the greatest so far against a single area in the Balkans, says a Budapest report quoted by a Stockholm paper. It v/as comparable with the Berlin raids. Many incendiaries caused fires which were still burning yesterday. The population is fleeing in thousands. Transport is not sufficient to evacuate all those wishing to leave.
