PRIME MINISTER’S VISIT
AWAKE, NEW ZEALAND CONFERENCE ON MONDAY The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, will visit Hamilton on Monday to confer with a delegation from the Awake, New Zealand campaign. The delegation will include representatives from most parts of the Auckland Province. While he is in Hamilton Mr Fraser will be shown weapons of war and other equipment made throughout the Waikato, principally on behalf of the Awake, New Zealand campaign. Full support for the Awake, New Zealand campaign was given at the annual Farmers’ Union when the follow- I ing resolution was carried: “ That the J lowing resolution was carried. ‘‘That the Farmers’ Union support the promoters of • the Awake, New Zealand campaign in their | endeavours to arm and equip the Home | Guard and arouse the country to an all- | in war effort.” The resolution will be pul forward as a remit to the sub-provincial conference.
