ACTIVITY AT MATAIYIATA

Reviewing- the year in his annual report, the Chief or the Matamata Caledonian society, Mr W. G. John, said the membership had dropped owing to the war from a total of 132 to 92 members, but the net profit was slightly higher. During the year £i l 17s had been donated to the patriotic rund and £5 5s was donated to the soldiers’ presentation rund. The treasurer, Mr W.
