SUBURBAN REPRESENTATIVES The following is the Hamilton Suburban junior tennis team to play Huntly on Saturday.—Men: D. Lynch. R. McCullagh. B. Stanley. A. Martin, Coulam, Greig-’ emergency, G. Wynne. Women: Misses Muir, Forkett, Jordan. Te Weri. Edwards, Johnson; emergency, Miss Senior. The following Hamilton Suburban representatives will play Morrinsville on Saturday.—Men: G. Warren, I. Casey, G. Mueller. P. Clarkin, A. Wickes, G. McLaren, McDonald, A. Watkins; emergency J. Curteius. Women: Miss Aitken, Mrs Ferribee, Misses Roach. D. Pickering. Jordan, "Whittaker, J. Pickering, Mrs Mueller; emergency, Mrs Davey.
In the combined handicap tournament played on St. Mary’s courts the winners were J. Casey and Miss C. Roach (St Mary’s). 4 wins, 1 loss. McDonald and Mrs Caldwell (St. Peters), Burgess and Miss Vosper (St. Peter’s), and Mueller and Mrs Mueller (St. Mary’s) each had 3 wins and 2 Josses but McDonald and Mrs Caldwell when points were checked were found to be the runners-*up by a margin of two points over Burgess and Miss Vosper.
The result of the first round of the B grade knock-out inter-club tournament was.—Ruakura beat Hamilton East, 21 sets to 3 sets, 151 games to 66 games.
