AT WAR WITH JAPAN (United Tress ass:, -nec. Tel. Copyright) j OTTAWA, Dec. 7 Canada has declared war on Japan. The declaration was made by Order-in-Council at an emergency Cabinet meeting. It was cabled to the King for his personal signature, but is effective immediately. A general order has been issued to the Dominion’s armed forces to “engage the enemy wherever he may be found.” In British Columbia the Western Air Command has called on all Canadian Air Force personnel to report immediately. The Canadian Navy has been ordered to apprehend Japanese fishing vessels in the Pacific.
