ART OF MAGIC
WAIKATO BRANCH MEETS That the Waikato Branch of the New Zealand Society of Magicians was well established was indicated in the report presented to the second annual meeting. Membership was shown as 11, with one honorary member and two serving'with the Forces. The election of officers resulted as follows.— President, Mr L. Spence; vicepresident, Mr R. Dixon; secretary, Mr H. Chandler; auditor, Mr C. H. Rose; programme organiser, Mr L. Spence. A review of last year’s work showed that the branch had assisted in numerous patriotic concerts and evenings, and it was decided to assist this cause in the future to the utmost. It was decided to proceed with arrangements for a public gala show. Good progress was reported in the matter of procuring a club room. The club has decided to procure some suitable illusion.
