ST. PAUL’S LADIES’ GUILD A very enjoyable social evening was held recently by the members of St. Paul’s Ladies’ Guild, in honour of the approaching marriage of Miss Eileen Gowanlock and Mr Henry Cook. The hall had been beautifully decorated with autumn flowers and foliage. Mrs D. Bradley, on behalf of those present, presented the guests of the evening with a case of fruit forks i and spoons, and wished them every happiness in their married life. Mr Cook suitably replied. The Rev. R. B. Tinsley took advantage of the occasion to farewell Mr E. Morrison, who is leaving for overseas to join the Fleet Air Arm, and to present him with a Moffat’s translation of the Bible. The programme was as follows: Vocal solos, Miss Kathie Treloar and Miss Mona Bradley; recitations, Miss Jessica Tinsley; two amusing competitions. Supper was served by Guild memben.
