MOBILE CANTEEN GIVEN
USE BY TROOPS OVERSEAS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday The Supreme Council, Thirty-three Degree, of the Ancient and Accepted Rite for England, Wales, the Dominions and Dependencies of the British Crown, after consultation with Lord Galway, a prominent member of the Supreme Council and chairman of the National Patriotic Fund Board, has presented a mobile canteen to the board for the use of New Zealand troops overseas.
Making this announcement this afternoon, the secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board, Mr G. A. Hayden, said the gift would prove a very valuable adjunct to the work of the board overseas. He understood the staff of a well-known New Zealand firm was considering presenting two other mobile canteens for New Zealand troops overseas. It is intended to use these canteens in the Middle East and have the bodies built in New Zealand.
