ANNUAL PROGRAMME ENTRIES DUE FEBRUARY 21 Nominations for all events of the annual meeting of the Thames Trotting Club on the Parawai course on March 8, close on Friday, February 21, at 5 p.m., with Blomfield and Co., Auckland, and at 8 p.m. with the secretary (Mr E. O. Brownlee), Box 53, Thames, phone 310 M. The programme is an interesting one, the big race, the Thames Trotting Cup, class 4.42, being worth £250 and a trophy, presented by Mr C. H. Trigg, of Auckland. The sprint, the Kopu Handicap (limit 2.53) will be worth £IBO, while other events on the programme are the Hikutaia Handicap (£l30 —limit 3.5), Parawai Handicap (£l30 —limit 3.49), Kerepeeni Handicap (£ls0 —limit 3.40). President’s Handicap (£l30 —limit 3.49), Puriri Handicap (£l30 —limit 3.43) and Turua Bracelet (£l6s—limit 3 38). In addition to the trophy attached to the Cup the President’s Handicap and Turua Bracelet are also catered for with trophies presented by supporters u£ the club.
