PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH GUILD The members of the Taupiri Ladies’ Guild of the Presbyterian Church held its annual flower show recently in the Taupiri Mission Hall. Excellent work was done at the bring-and-buy stall in charge of Mrs W. McPherson and Mrs R. Findlay. During the afternoon items and competitions were held. Songs were given by Mrs A. W. Buss and Mrs R. Matheson. Winners of the various flower en- | tries were as follows:—Prettiest { bowl, Miss J. Findlay 1, Mrs Miller (Ngaruawahia) 2; prettiest vase, Mrs McPherson 1, Miss J. Findlay 2; button-hole, Mrs J. D. Bruce 1, Miss M. Cumming 2. Competition winI ners were Miss M. Foley, Miss J. Findlay, and Mrs R. Francham. After a delightful afternoon tea served by Mesdames R. Matheson, E. Powell and Misses J. Findlay and J. Lagon, the president, Mrs T. McDowell, thanked all present for their support.
