MATAMATA FUNCTIONS
FAREWELL EVENING Mr S. Price, of the staff of the Bank of New Zealand, Matamata, was the guest of honour at a farewell party held in Mr Sehvyn Duxfield’s barn, prior to Mr Price’s departure for Coromandel. Dancing and community singing were enjoyed, the music being supplied by Messrs N. Capper-Starr, Roy White and C. Hemsley. During the course of the evening Mr Archie Crabb, on behalf of those present, asked Mr Price to accept a handsome leather suitcase as a token of esteem. Mr Price suitably responded. Among those present were:—Mesdames Roy White, C. Hemsley, Russell, White. Misses Connie Williams, Mae Turkirigton, Lois Ryan. Hazel Duxfield, Mary Dmsdale, Eileen Casey, •- ' ZA: gare: Loveridge, Judy Burnett, Shirley Ryan, Colleen McIntyre. Twinkle Hunt, Olga Loveridge.
