/ CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE
The annual meeting of the Hamilton branch of the Catholic Women’s League, was held recently in the league room. The president, Mrs Fearon, presented the report on the past year’s activities, which showed that much had been done both in connection with parish and patriotic work. The balance sheet disclosed a very satisfactory financial position. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs W. B. Fearon, vice-president, Mrs D. Foley; secretary, Mrs E. P. Kelleher; treasurer, Miss N. Fitzgerald,; executive Mesdames J. Dunleavy, W. Dwyer, L. F. Casey, P. J. Gallagher, E. M. Davies, W. Wynne, Misses Roche and R. Bourke. The next monthly meeting of the branch takes place on Thursday September 26, at 8 p.m., and will take the form of a gift evening in aid of the parish sale of work, when a prize will be given for the most original gift.
