RUGBY BALL

j FUNCTION AT CAMBRIDGE i The annual ball of the Cambridge ■ Rugby Union was well attended on ; Wednesday night, when the popular j function was held in the Cambridge ! Town Hall. A patriotic gesture on I the part of the club resulted in the ! entire proceeds being donated to the i Patriotic Committee. The presentaj ticn of trophies created interest among those present. Flags covered the stage, where bowls of colourful flowers and green foliage added a further touch of brightness. Members of the women’s committee to whom much credit is due were Mesdames Tom Bourke, C. Kelly, C. H. Maisey, Turnbull, E. White, Arnold, W, Cubis, R. Cubis, Solley, T. Russell, V. C. Boulton, A. R. Batchelor, Riley, Harwood, R. A. Hughes, A. A. Moore, Eric Beer. Misses Elsie Robinson, M. Bourke and Jessie Thompson. Among those present were:—
