TE RAPA FUNCTION
PLAIN & FANCY DRESS DANCE The third patriotic dance and card evening was held in the Te Rapa Hall last Tuesday, and proved very successful. Excellent music for dancing was supplied by Mrs Harrison, Messrs Pleass and Holmes, and Miss B. Sampson. Miss N. Primmer and Messrs McHardie played extras. The winners of the cards were Mrs Milne and Mr Bath, and the fancy dress prizes went to Miss R. Milne, Egyptian princess, and Mr B. Pottage, Egyptian prince, with Mrs Hayward, old lady, and Mr J. Milne, Charlie Chaplin, second. Miss N. Primmer and Mr K. Primmer won the novelty dance. Those in fancy dreSs were, Mrs Jull, Queen of the Night; Mrs McKay, Dutch lady; Mrs Hayward, old lady; Mrs A. Harwood, departed spirits; Mrs Johnston, beach girl. Misses R. Milne, Egyptian princess; E. Milne, pompadour; N. Primmer, nurse; J. Perkins, Czechoslovakian peasant; M. Hare, boy; Messrs R. Malcolm, Guy Fawkes; B. Wilson, bridesmaid; A. Harwood, bride; T. i Bath, clown; B. Pottage, Egyptian j prince, J. Milne; Charlie Chaplin; K. Primmer, clown.
