It was simultaneously decided to pro - hibit or restrict luxury and nonurgent goods. The distribution of sugar will be about 661 b a month for each person, and of matches five splints a day for each person. Capital Scheme Delayed
The refusal of the Minister of Finance, under the Finance Emergency Regulations, No. 2, to give consent has caused delay to the scheme for the reorganisation of the capital of Newton King, Limited, New Plymouth. The proposals already had been carried at meetings of shareholders, and the sanction of the Supreme Court was to have been applied for. It is now proposed to make further approaches to the Minister to induce him to reconsider his decision.
