Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, arrived from Wellington by the limited express this morning. He will return on Monday night.
Mr H. D. Caro, Mayor of Hamilton, left last night by express for Wellington to attend the Municipal Conference.
Mr W. H. Nankervis, of Wellington, has been appointed president of the New Zealand Society of Accountants.
Archbishop Panico, Apostolic Delegate, who was Papal Legate to the New Zealand National Eucharistic Congress, made a farewell call at noon yesterday on the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, at his home in Northland.
