OBITUARY
MR E. N. DAVIES The death occurred yesterday of Mr Ernest Nicholson Davies, oi Hamilton and late of Paeroa, aged 76 years. Born in Gloucestershire, England, the late Mr Davies came to New Zealand when a young man, with his. parents. They settled in Dunedin and later at Auckland. Mr Davies afterwards went to the goldfields at Paeroa and Thames. He was keenly interested in political affairs, and when at Paeroa stood for Parliament but was defeated. He has been a constant contributor of political material to newspapers throughout New Zealand. He is survived by his wife and four children. MR. F. A. MACQUISTEN M.P.
