NEW WEST SCHOOL
RAPID PROGRESS MADE READY AFTER MAY VACATION Rapid progress is being made with the erection of the new Hamilton West School on Richmond Estate, and it is expected to be ready for occupation after the May holidays. Now that the shortage of building material has been overcome, the contractors have been able to concentrate on the inside of the building and two classrooms have been completed. The school committee is anxious to have the grounds completed as soon as possible. A statement from the Public Works Department this morning was to the effect that the contract had been advertised, and as soon as advice was received from Wellington that it had been let, the work would be commenced.
