POOR CONDITIONS
ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS MAJOR EVENTS POSTPONED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Saturday Oarsmen at the New Zealand Centennial rowing championships at Petone today had to contend with a strong head wind blowing from the north, accompanied in the early afternoon by driving rain. As a result the championship events were postponed until later in the afternoon. Conditions close inshore were much better than farther out, where the water was very choppy.
